Dr. Angelo Agro of Andalusia, AL is a practicing ENT (Ear, Nose, & Throat Specialist) by day and photographer extraordinaire, loving husband and father, and very amateur comedian by night. Last year, he was diagnosed with IPF, Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. His disease has recently progressed resulting in the need for immediate action. He is seeking a lung transplant, the only true treatment for the disease. He is leaving for Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC on July 8, 2011 to begin pulmonary rehabilitation. The rehabilitation, which includes cardiovascular and strength training, lasts approximately 4 weeks and is essential for a successful transplant. The medical expenses from the time rehab begins to the time he is released from recovery are staggering. His advisors at Duke have made it clear that fund raising in this situation is a necessity.
There are no words to express our gratitude, our Dad means the world to us. God bless you.
