On May 11th, 2011, my 21-month-old son was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This was the most devastating day of our entire lives. Within a matter of 12 hours, our whole world was crashing down on us. "What would tomorrow bring?" "Will my son be okay?" "Am I strong enough to handle this?" "Why did cancer choose HIM?" These are all thoughts that were running through my mind.
Isaac has started chemotherapy and is responding well to treatment, with a great prognosis. He has had 5 blood transfusions and 4 surgical procedures since being diagnosed. It breaks my heart that he has to go through so much and he has barely started his life. I would do anything to trade places with him. Despite our positive outlook, this terrible news has broken us down financially. We have four other children and are doing our very best to stay afloat during this difficult time.
Any donation you could give would be more appreciated than you know. We are so thankful for the wonderful support system we have within our friends and family. Thank you all very much in advance and may God bless you!
