AMOS NEEDS LIFESAVING SURGERY WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.
I have begged and pleaded and turned over every stone in an attempt to get the money for the surgery AMOS MOST DESPERATELY NEEDS.last year I lost my home and family, animal companions to a fire.
These kitties,AMOS and his litter mates have become my new family. I work with them in an attempt to get them to trust me so that I can hold them and we can enjoy each other's company. Amos is one of the cats that was becoming very friendly and loving. March 24th he did not show up for a full 24 hours. I desperately searched for him I walked acres and acres of land looking for him. The next morning he was on the path in the back of my property laying on his side with his legs stretched out behind him. He apparently had dragged himself from wherever he became injured. I scooped him up and took him immediately 2 the vet nearby. He was given an exam which was severely lacking ,as the vet only poked at him a few times and said nothing is broken , and that he was going to treat him with steroid injections. I asked several times for an x-ray but the doctor refused as he insisted there were no fractures. So two weeks later Amos is still not improved on his left side but has improved on his right side. I was able to get together more money and go to another vet who would x-ray him. This vet happens to be an orthopedic vet. At this Clinic he was given a very thorough exam and x-rays. This vet showed very clearly with the x-rays that AMOS pelvic is severely broken but is VERY FIXABLE with IMMEDIATE surgery. He said his PROGNOSIS is EXCELLENT and he would expect him to heal without any problems and that he could again be a normal cat and live a normal happy life. The problem is... for the best results he should have had the surgery within two weeks of the injury. We are now entering the third week(2weeks and 3 days) and he still has an excellent chance but as time goes by ,the healing capability of the bones will be diminished. Also life-threatening complications would be expected to start setting in as loss of circulation to his left leg , blood clots , nerve damage , loss of motility in his bowel. This injury can not heal on its own , as the two pieces of pelvic are quite a distance from each other they are not even close to touching . Now AMOS is almost OUT OF TIME. !PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE HELP.
I love him very much and I do not want to lose him.
I have had enough loss in my life, and don't want to have anymore. Losing AMOS so unnecessary.
I just pray it will be enough help soon enough to save AMOS.
I'm giving my word to make contribution on this site , and help someone else in need, to show my gratitude.
